State of the Union Tour 2026

The 2026 sailing season is almost upon us here in Atlantic Canada.  Like most boats, Gypsy Wind and I are starting to prep, slowly, messily, and with duct tape nearby.

 

My 2026 dreams and schemes are already swirling in my head.  But before the real work begins, here's a bare-bones, no-frills tour of her interior.  A little sneak peek at the "before", the projects I've got planned for this year.

 

The video is unscripted and unedited because, frankly, I'm figuring this out just like I'm figuring out the boat, one leak, one mysterious electrical wire at a time.

Hello, I'm Dianne MacGillivray.  I'm a novice sailor finally facing down fear, depression, and chronic pain; one sail at a time.  I bought a boat named Gypsy Wind to trade in my "hyperventilating lump of mush" era for one filled with freedom, duct tape, and showing up for myself (and others) along the way.
